Like many families, the Masons of south Charlotte say they’ve been adapting to life during a pandemic.

“You know, 3-year-olds like routine and we were in March going to school every day and then he’d come home from school and then big brother would get off the school bus, and then a couple hours later mom would get home from work and then I think that’s sort of how we knew the day was done, and then suddenly we’re all just home, together, all the time,” Sarah Mason said.

UPS Option Trader Bets $3M The Stock’s Huge Rally Isn’t Over – Benzinga

United Parcel Service, Inc. shares are up 70.4% in the past three months. The delivery giant appears to have gotten a boost from shelter-in-home environment, and at least one large option trader is making a huge bet on more upside ahead.

The UPS Trades: On Monday, Benzinga Pro subscribers received two option alerts related to unusually large UPS trades:

  • At 9:39 a.m., a trader bought 346 UPS call options with a $162.50 strike price expiring on Friday above the ask price at 88.3 cents. The trade represented a $3,055.18 bullish bet.
  • At 12:05 p.m, a trader bought 750 UPS call options with a $120 strike price expiring on Jan. 15 2021 at the ask price of $42.25. The trade represented a more than $3.16 million bullish bet.

Why It’s Important: Even traders who stick exclusively to stocks often monitor option market activity closely for unusually large trades. Given the relative complexity of the options market, large options traders are typically considered to be more sophisticated than the average stock trader.

UPS Promotes Trade, Global Affairs Expert to New Executive Role – Global Atlanta

United Parcel Service Inc. has promoted a former U.S. foreign service officer, trade negotiator and long-time global public affairs expert for a new executive position that melds together functions related to external communication and government advocacy.

Laura Lane, who most recently served nearly a decade as UPS’s president for global public affairs in Washington and advocated passionately for the company’s views on trade policy, has been named chief corporate affairs and communications officer, reporting directly to new CEO Carol Tomé.

Ms. Lane’s career has spanned a variety of roles in the public and private sector. She started with UPS in 2011 after similar roles with Citigroup and Time Warner.

UPS hiring and increasing starting pay for package handlers, other entry-level positions – WHAS 11

The United Parcel Service (UPS) in Louisville is the latest company in Kentucky to announce it is hiring. UPS says it is also increasing pay for some entry-level positions, a news release states.

The company says starting August 1st the wage for UPS package handlers and other entry-level operations positions increased from $14 to $14.50 an hour.
