If cops cautiously walk up to a car and ask a man to identify himself then ask him to step outside while being ready to react if the man suddenly produces a weapon that's one thing. Charging up to a door, ripping it open and yanking someone out is a whole other ballgame. Those cops violated so many protocols in this situation that it's not surprising that the man panicked. Video clearly showed them in control of the man while they were telling him to give them his hands. As if they were justifying beating him when they knew they were on camera. There were no handcuffs out being used. Just punching him and one of them kicked him in the head twice. There was nothing on any video according to the police leadership that indicated he had done anything while driving that warranted this kind of brutality. This was an out of control special police unit that wasn't being held accountable for its actions. Until they got so out of control that a man died. This isn't a liberal or conservative thing. This is about bad cops who cause the public to lose faith in our police forces and make it very difficult for good cops to do their much needed job.

Funny how the world works. I was just on the FedEx Employees Facebook page and one of the rumors out there is that the young man who was killed was dating the wife or girlfriend of one of the cops. I guess eventually the truth will come out.
