Reading is hard.

From your article:

...she holds a six-point lead in the two-way matchup: 48-42 percent. That’s at the edge of the poll’s margin of error.

@tieguy, I was only pointing out that you and TOS are using the same poll, just different data points.

Right now, the race between the two of them is well inside the margin of error in a 4 person race, just over 1%.

I expect it to change after the first debate, one way or the other.

even harder for you. unfortunately for Rip Van Clinton there are four candidates In this race

Latest presidential poll: Donald Trump up by 1 point on Hillary Clinton

FIrst of all, we are talking about the RASSMUSSEN poll, which by NO MEANS is a reliable polling source. The results are within the margins of error, but overall, the polling data from Rassmussen is unreliable.

We have covered this ground about Rassmussen and LATIMES/USC before, yet you and the others CLING to hope with these two polling companies.

Do yourself a favor, dont bet your home on RASSMUSSEN and LATIMES/USC predictions.

RASSMUSSEN:
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has moved ahead of Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton, according to a new poll.

The Rasmussen Reports poll released Thursday has Trump at 40 percent to Clinton's 39 percent. Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson received 7 percent; Green Party nominee Jill Stein got 3 percent. Seven percent remain undecided.

Last week's version of the same poll showed Clinton ahead by 4 points – 42 percent to 38 percent. Her support in the Rasmussen poll peaked in early August just after the Democratic National Convention when it reached 44 percent.

The poll – while still the outlier and with results within the survey's margin of error – marks the first time Trump has led Clinton in a national poll since mid-July.

Real Clear Politics polling average – which includes the Rasmussen Reports' poll – has Clinton up by almost 4 percentage points. The average puts Clinton with 42 percent support, Trump at 38 percent; Johnson at 8 percent and Stein at 3 percent.

New week and same results.. DRUMPF not getting ahead.. He is still staying within the -4% where he belongs...

Both McCain and Romney lost by 4% and those were blowouts and DRUMPF seems to have settled near -4% as well....

TOURIST.. RCP hasnt recieved any NEW polls in a few days... today, they will come out..

The only ones that changed are the FOX news poll.. ( big deal) most unreliable and the USC/LATIMES poll (but we already know to discount this one, it isnt scientific and no recognized because of how its conducted)

SO here is the latest, which is still the same as last monday...

upload_2016-9-19_6-59-22.png

Now, you can toss OUT the USC/LATIMES bullcrap, because its a silly poll that shouldnt even be listed. Its the first time USC/LATIMES collaborated on a poll, and this one, rather than sampling the general public week after week, using demographics reflective of the electorate, instead, uses the same 3200 people and polls "some" of them every three days, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER...

Now, they use 1600 "eligible" republican voters and 1600 "eligible" democratic voters, but depending on which side responds in the majority, the poll is skewed one way or the other... IF you look carefully, they usually only sample around 2500 out of the 3200, and they do not LIST which side responded in the greater majority.

This is why they dont use a MARGIN of ERROR.

The poll is garbage and you cant take it seriously. I know, you people would love to take it seriously, I know DRUMPF does, but he is an idiot.

TOS.
