Yeah you're right I have no clue. I only have over 20 years in and I remember what ups used to be like and what it is now.

Believe me if ups can replace on roads with a virtual program, they will. Oh wait, that's what telematics and virtual ojs is for.

From your posts in here though it looks like you'll be a great candidate for on road management position. Most of the ones who were amazing and had clue are retired or retiring.

You're making a huge mistake going into management. When Orion and telematics evolve, on roads will be the first ones affected and laid off from it.

More efficient =less drivers=less on roads in their eyes.

You really shouldn't be making this life changing choice after a divorce.

We need on roads. We don't need managers. But getting rid of managers creates one rather tricky problem. If the on cars are ACTUALLY on road then the district manager has to wait until the next day to verbally rip them to shreds for the center's unacceptable numbers. That or call the on car on their cell while they are on the car with a driver. But many of those pricks don't see the falicy in that and won't hesitate to do so.

Every new system these freakin idiots put in fails. Just like Orion, guess what Orion wont and doesnt work if the idiot lazy stupid supes dont fix the DOLS which are complete garbage now. On road sups used to be trainers and emergency cover drivers. They could train and cover any route in the building. Now?

Now most of them couldn't last a half a day on the car "training ".

This new batch I've seen over the years never drove. I had to show an on road one time during a safety ride, how to turn around correctly without backing up on a cul de sac. She couldn't even make turns in the package car without curbing the hell out of it.
