I bet it will improve. The last crew had to deal with this progression, they made it. You'll get a raise, I'm very confident in that.

You never get everything you want but this contract (from what I have heard so far) seems to be about the best you were going to get. I think the only people who might get screwed are the ones still in progression but that has also happened before.
