A lot of "fireworks" in that warehouse. They must have been planning a big celebration or something like that.
They are saying it was loaded up with seized high explosives from ships and containers.
They played the Twitter video below that showed a fire and then the big explosion ... the shock wave was WOWZER!

Homes as far as 10 kilometers away were damaged, according to witnesses.
One Beirut resident who was several kilometers away from the site of the blast said her windows had been shattered by the explosion.
"What I felt was that it was an earthquake," Rania Masri told CNN. "The apartment shook horizontally and all of a sudden it felt like an explosion and the windows and doors burst open. The glass just broke. So many homes were damaged or destroyed."

It sounds like it was an ammunition storage site for Hezbollah. That the Lebanese government has know about for years but predictably did nothing about.

But what the heck was in there that blew up that big? A lot more than just bullets. Just think what would've happened in Israel by now if they hadn't put up that wall.

They’re saying ammonium nitrate was being stored there.

Stored at the port for SIX YEARS? Hmmmmmm!

“ The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear. Officials linked the explosion to some 2,700 tonnes of confiscated ammonium nitrate that were being stored in a warehouse at the port for six years.”
