2-3 is tricycles. Move to real bikes around 5 or 6I had no training wheels or anything. I had lots of bumps and bruises.
Kids now have bikes that fit them at 2-3 years old though. We didn’t bikes until 5-6. So more training aids make sense for kids that young.
I’m telling you what’s out there now.2-3 is tricycles. Move to real bikes around 5 or 6
If your friend’s son had grown up in my time he would still be riding a bike. We had to ride a bike anywhere we wanted to go. It meant freedom. No way would our mother have driven us around everywhere like mothers do now. Some kids do have fear but probably need to be forced anyway.
I’ve got a friend who has a 10 year old. I’m honestly not sure if he rides a bike still.
Fell off once got hurt said friend this
Every kid had a bike and spent hours riding it every dayIf your friend’s son had grown up in my time he would still be riding a bike. We had to ride a bike anywhere we wanted to go. It meant freedom. No way would our mother have driven us around everywhere like mothers do now.
Now there is a line of cars of moms waiting to drive their kids home from school every day.If your friend’s son had grown up in my time he would still be riding a bike. A couple of blocks are too far for the kid to walk.
Do schools even still have bike racks for kids who ride them to school?

My parents live 300-400 yards from the school. One of their neighbors (who has a 6th grader) is constantly complaining about the school drop off line. Now there is a line of cars of moms waiting to drive their kids home from school every day.

Instant communications induced. People hear news that generations before would not. Add to that, instant communications create unnatural fear of separation. This is the big fear. Even though we live in a safer town statistically speaking
