Some kids do have fear but probably need to be forced anyway.

I’ve got a friend who has a 10 year old. I’m honestly not sure if he rides a bike still.

Fell off once got hurt said friend this
If your friend’s son had grown up in my time he would still be riding a bike. We had to ride a bike anywhere we wanted to go. It meant freedom. No way would our mother have driven us around everywhere like mothers do now.

Now there is a line of cars of moms waiting to drive their kids home from school every day.

A couple of blocks are too far for the kid to walk.

Do schools even still have bike racks for kids who ride them to school?

He rides a scooter lol but yeah I wouldn’t let him settle for quitting.

I’d you never want to ride the bike again after you learn ok. But you’re gonna learn.

My parents live 300-400 yards from the school. One of their neighbors (who has a 6th grader) is constantly complaining about the school drop off line.

IM LIKE WHY THR :censored2: ARE YOU DRIVING YOUR KID 300 yards to school!!!!

Run along behind the bike helping him keep balance at first. Once they get a little speed the balance is easy. What takes time is doing it at low speeds. No real need for training wheels if the parent is helping them learn.

And the cars will get there about half an hour early to wait. Don't they have something better to do?

My best friend picked his kids up a few Monday’s ago. He came by to see me after. He’s like dude it’s crazy. I got there 10 min early and there’s already 50 cars lined up!!!

I said man I deliver to these schools all of the time. Some parents line up an hour or more before let out.
