Yeah the dome is a big polical bone down here. The voters refused a bond referendum to spend money on it anymore. It is used for a storage shed for the livestock show and rodeo. There is a judge down here, Ed Emmett, who just won't let it be torn down.

Yeah it was the same judge who had the bright idea to house Katrina refugees. It costs over 1 million a year just for upkeep now. Harris county taxpayers (that's me) are still paying for it.
