I did for a couple of years when I was a kid. There wasn't enough base housing available so my father bought one for us to live in until we could get something better. We fixed it up and ended up making money on it when we sold it.

Smaller than a normal house but not that bad if you don't have something like 15 or 20 Mexicans living in one. Mostly the bedrooms are really small.

I always wondered if they were a good value, especially if you don't own the lot. How much is rent at these parks?

Rent used to be cheap and made mobile homes a cheap alternative. Now the lot fees are about as much as renting a house I think.

A plumber friend of mine once was called to a trailer park to fix what was described as a terrible smell. When he looked underneath it he discovered whoever set this new mobile home up had forgot to connect the sewer pipe. The home had to be moved to a different site and that one cleaned up.

Lived in one for 1 year in college rent was dirt cheap but it was a hole had a swamp cooler on top of it. Which would be great if you lived in the dessert

But in the Midwest when the humidity gets up to 65% everything is damp doors won't open drawers won't close and everything feels wet

Had some kickass party's though
