I told her that at least they let her down easy rather than stringing her along. That means they respect her. Plus, they would just get in the way of what she wants to accomplish, demanding more and more of her time.

Honestly she is a good mature kid. Tell her relationships at this age aren't meant to last. They meant to show you what you don't want in relationship so that your chances of having a good strong relationship later in life are higher.

The respect thing is nice, but it's not going to be a comfort. She just needs to find her way. Maybe it will show her what guys are worth it and which aren't.
