Center manager positive, 2 drivers and a loader positive

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
That's silly. It's only like that in medicine to prevent transferring things from patient to patient.

As long as you don't touch your face, they're a net positive.
You’re picking up and spreading the same germs as you would with your hands. If you don’t touch your face with bare hands and it’s pretty much equal. Unless you have cuts on your hands

Do you need an air compressor or tire gauge
Then if you wear a mask and gloves, those gloves are going to be touching your face and eyes all day

Today I learned our center manager and some drivers and a loader tested positive. Apparently ups has been sitting on it for a few days now. Even now we only found out through the drivers and loaders talking. Management refuses to tell anyone and they flat out will tell you that, "its non of your business" or "it is above your position". Finally today they supplied medical gloves to loaders. That's it.. Apparently someone complained to OSHA now they have till the 8th to respond in writing or else there's going to be an investigation for not properly disinfecting trucks and equipment and not supplying proper PPE. The next couple weeks should be interesting.
There’s laws against disclosing personal health info, ups would get sued if they let out any info.

You guys are dumb. No one knows what this virus entails and what do to about it. UPS is in the same :censored2:show the rest of the nation is- you do realize there is no master plan. Hand sanitizer, masks and gloves are in scarce supply because we are unprepared as a nation. The best you can do is take care of you. *

The ADA protects the individual from being directly identified. The CDC guidelines do call for informing employees of possible exposure. HIPAA stop's an employer from using insurance data to find an employees health problem's. It's really simple if a employee tests positive and informs their employer or the health department does. Disclosure of that information should be disseminated to other employees without disclosing identifying information in a timely manner.

Plenty of businesses have changed operations to address the issue. UPS is choosing to do nothing. PPE would be nice, but would be hard to source at scale. Simple effective measures to limit employees exposure could be done. For example a driver's time in building could be limited and controlled. Inside work could be ran in a way to limit cross exposure (think social distancing in groups). Security could be relaxed/changed to limit a single vector point with access everyone. Workers/management that must go between different areas should required to wear PPE. Production might take a hit now, but what will it look like with a bunch of people out sick. Asking for an intelligent approach to handle the situation is just too much to ask from UPS.
