The company cannot, by law, identify infected employees. They do have to work with health officials to identify people the infected may have contacted and those people should be quarantined.
The county health departments where these facilities are located would take care of this. When my daughter was quarantined, they contacted her boyfriend's employer to make sure that they understood that he was quarantined until a test came back.
County health officials take this very, very seriously and will put the fear into anyone that steps in their way.

HIPAA is about medical records and access rights/sharing. ADA is what protects the individual with a disease from being singled out by name or identifying features. So "a employee in this facility tested positive" is okay "Jim tested positive" is not. Even "an employee in your area" would be okay.

UPS isn't doing anything because they know there's nothing that can be done.
Having some guy walk around and spray the steering wheels with bleach every morning is just to make you "feel" better. In reality it's not going to help. The only thing there is to do is to let the thing burn through.
Some of you aren't going to make it. But that's life. Bugs or brahs, everyone's got to be peacing out eventually. And when our time comes, it's never the way we thought we would go. But that's what happens when some guy in China eats bat soup.

The company should not be teaming you with a helper. Having said that it's your fault for not refusing....you can't get fired for that at this time.
Also.....if you are doing 330 with or without a helper shows me that you are working like a fool and aren't doing your job properly.
Try obeying company guidelines as well as basic traffic laws and you will cut that stop count down by half if not more.

Went in to oms office yesterday to get Diad and punch in and must of been 10 drivers Hanging out in there talking. Went into ors office and same thing. These offices aren’t but 10x10 rooms. I’m tired of getting messages all day about safety by the safety committee member who stays in the building and management does not care nor does anything to promote a healthy and safe working environment. Anyone who thinks ups cares about them is sadly mistaken

Spraying the steering wheels is exactly the best thing that could be done. There is a lot we can do.
We just had a car-parker test positive. He touches 30-40 steering wheels a few times a day without gloves. I bet a coworker that he would get it.

One guy walking around with a bleach bottle spraying everything he sees is exactly what we need.
I can’t remember as I’m getting old and stupid and we’ve all lost so much whether employees or customers.
Do you think instead of hazard pay or some bonus they’ll offer a one time return of our turkeys this year as a HUUGE thank you gesture?
