We were testing just as quickly as they were, but the CDC screwed up the tests.

South Korea used private industry for tests.
Bush era regulations prevented that here. Obama era regulations forced the CDC to discard our tests because one of four regeants had a technical problem.

This is a failure of large federal government and beurocracy you support.

Trump came in saying he was gonna cut through all that.

The fact is: Trump wasted time minimizing this threat, and we’re four weeks behind.

I love it when he said, “15 cases, next week it will be zero”

Admit it, the guy is a fkg maroon

I realize they’re a much smaller country, so it’s an apples to rockets comparison, but why were they (within a week) testing 10,000 people a day?
The National Government was not involved other than edicts ... their robust numbers tested resulted from the same reason the US is testing more in a day now than Korea tested in their highest 8 days.
Private industry taking the tests and running the tests is why Korea and the USA were able to reach the lofty numbers tested.

I presented you with facts.
You throw a tantrum and insult Trump.
Get a grip buddy.

Honestly everything should be locked down for three weeks starting tomorrow.

Everyone expressing by the end of that point will show, 90% of them will be fine, and we deal with those in distress.

The economic hit from that would be less than the haphazard National and Federal responses.

It would suck economically, but much less than having to deal with outbreaks for the next six to ten months.

It’s like we’re learning nothing from Italy, Spain, and NYC.
I learnt sumtin!

US was more prepared for pandemic than any other country, Johns Hopkins study found

The United States was ranked the best-prepared country in the world to handle a pandemic in late 2019 by the Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security (JHCHS) -- an assessment seemingly at odds with claims by Democrats that the Trump administration left the country vulnerable to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
Yes, you can be the best prepared country in the world but if you're too slow to move and too late to the party what difference does it make how well prepared you are?

Geez, you make it sound like we’re approaching their efficiency.

We’re not, on any metric.

Pence thinks it’s cool that our testing capacity is increasing...that’s great.

But we weren’t testing 10K a day from the git, so now it’s irrelevant.

It’s too late for the US to contact-trace; we still need to mass-test, but that ship sailed.

I answered your question ... don't bitch at me because you asked a sloppy, imprecise question!

From the git the New York Times and the Washington Post were downplaying this virus and were saying any crackdown on flights from China and other measures would be xenophobic and racist. Now they sing a different tune, attacking Trump for not doing enough. There's no easy answers, just easy criticism from hypocrites.

Your Fender Vibro Champ tube amp?
Prognosis?
Money?

No, the Ampeg.

Random situation where it sounds fine and works, and then the volume drops to 15%, and no amount of banging the chassis works.

(And then it suddenly works just fine!)

Brought in a new matched set of tubes (haven't changed them since NC): he's gonna clean the sockets, the jacks, try and trace down the volume drop...

Best amp tech in the Boston area.

We'll see.

Errm, probably one bill for the retube/socket+ jack cleanout, but the random untraceable and unrecreateable volume dropout?

Can't say.

Hopefully it was just dirty jacks!

Yah, it's tricky.

Pretty much everyone was wrong, in hindsight.

But, here we are.
