Soooo, with small bags and envelopes, I do this:

The bag is secured from being blown away & it won't get wet

If the small bag or envelope has a usps barcode, I cram it into the mailbox

If I can't secure the small by a welcome mat or something on their porch,

No wonder you’re out til midnight. You’re wasting too much time at the doors. Why type in a comment at all? Bag it. Drop it and ring bell. If windy, slide partially under mat. Done.

Why would it matter if a bag like that gets wet? There's a nice bush there to hide it behind. DR bush, note on door.

The only time I stop to type notes is to comment a damaged driver release or something really, really whacky. and even then it's just "resi/fedex resi/front door" comment "grill"

I sure hope they check it before lighting it.

You're putting in too much effort. Driver release to the door you put it in and that's all. I've never had a problem.

Why even get that close to the house? You can throw those from the sidewalk. Just aim for the Ring doorbell.

Ok so I've been doing it wrong all this time???

Butt I sux at the throws... it's hand-to-surface for this dooshbag drivah!

I should've started early to throw stuff instead of doing things properly...

I prefer putting letters under the mat with about 1/4 of it sticking out. Over advertising it in the screen door.
