I love what I do but 6 days is too much. I've put over 5 years in now. I've paid my dues when Saturdays originally started in my building. When 180 stops were given a 1000-2000 pal label. I wish the union could be of more help but all you get is too bad so sad. This is why I've gone to trying to use this. I don't want to but what other choice so I have?
In the same boat as you… topped out last year and still get messages every other Thursday saying that I’m forced to work Saturday. 6 days a week really gives no time for family or a personal life when you are working until 1900 every night. Schedule shows m/friday for me so I’m at the point I just use fmla for those days. My local union reps have no backbone so it just really blows

Are you guys getting your 34 hour reset if you work an extra day? If not, tell them to kick rocks.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.

Remember when RPCD wanted to reduce overtime
And didn’t want to work Saturday so the Union said oh 22.4’s will fix all of this.

LMAO what a crock the last leadership was.

To not be forced to work 6 days a week from the beginning of September to well past March at this point. Regardless of how anyone feels this should not be allowed to happen to any of us. We are not wage slaves nor are we beholden to this company. Their staffing issues should not be forced on RPCD. They wanted 22.4 drivers so use them. I wouldn't have an issue with an occasional Saturday but not every one. Especially when they're dispatching 10-13 hour days on Saturday. Also cutting dispatches through the week for rpcd to save hours for Saturday. Also trying to schedule rpcd off Monday and violating the m-friend part of the contract.
Ok. Quit. Leave. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORK THERE.

There are many, many occupations out there that work EVERY SATURDAY.....grocery stores, restaurants, automotive parts stores....

And you far outpace them pay wise.

Amazon, the Post Office and Fed-Ex all work Saturdays and SUNDAYS....quit and go there.

Covid is a tragedy......but has been a financial blessing for UPS'ers.

So it has been used successfully then?
Successfully I don't know. Usually management just doesn't want to take it all the way. I've heard about it going both ways.

Either way I doubt anyone would stay fired for using fatigue legitimately. Meaning having worked 50+ hours in 5 days.

Maybe that’s why you hate working 6 days a week , have a little fun pal!

I love my job cause I’m broke from all the booze and drugs I buy, I need to work!
🧔✊
Then don’t make waves. Which I assume you do, basing off your posts. So I’m going to assume you’re clean. 😉

Nothing to see here.... Move along.
Careful with the fatigue card. They can make you take a fit for duty exam, where they'll test everything, including drug testing. So if you enjoy other than allowed stress relief, think twice.
So....

Technically...

And just being technical for future references...

But...

Technically, if there is no substance test done at the DOT PHYSICAL...

Is that DOT MEDICAL CARD legit...

This somehow is on topic and tying into your post and @542thruNthru 's post.

And every other post.

Helping.

DOT physical done every 2 years does not include a drug test. But if you are claiming you are not fit for duty, UPS will send you for a tox screen.

I got a 90 day for pissing +2 sugar. My GP laughed and signed my clearance papers. DOT don’t ***k around.
Ok. Based on your words.....

Curious....Your GP just laughed and didn't do anything else? No questions , investigation, any other regard for your health? How odd.

DOT don't friend around but your Doc does? My Doc is very concerned about my A1c.
