Follow the backing methods "Back only when necessary; back first, etc" and let the chips fall where they may. Don't worry about the backing number that's his problem not yours.
"Back only when necessary" is rather vague. I guess its not completely necessary for me to back into a 100pc bulk stop. I could make 20 trips with the hand truck and completely avoid that "unnecessary" back

I backed more on rural routes than I did on town routes.

Down a side road, turn around to get back on the main road. Down another side road, turn around again. Up a :censored2:ty driveway to a house on top of a hill, turn around again. Down another :censored2:ty lane; it just keeps going on.

I agree. I just took a rural route and I am constantly turning around. 10x more then my town route.
