Remember that MNF game where the Seahawks won the game on a last second INT by the Packers?
What is it about there being nothing in NFL rules or their contracts that prohibit this application of the first amendment that you don't understand?
When you're losing the argument, change the subject. Sounds like something straight out or "The Art of the Deal".Let me repeat myself. There is NO rule stating they must stand for the anthem.
Dude, you fell for the phony rule book thing. Check yourself...When you're losing the argument, change the subject. Sounds like something straight out or "The Art of the Deal".
Facebook post about NFL Rulebook for players standing for national anthem is fake newsDude, you fell for the phony rule book thing. Check yourself...
And your IQ and reading comprehension level is showing. The NFL Rulebook is not the same thing as NFL Game Day Manual. Just as pertinent and applicable. And my original post was that First Amendment rights are not applicable in the workplace. Go back and check my posts.Dude, you fell for the phony rule book thing. Check yourself...
It is applicable here. There is no rule against it.And your IQ and reading comprehension level is showing. The NFL Rulebook is not the same thing as NFL Game Day Manual. Agreed, it's not in the NFL Rulebook. But if the issue goes to Court, you will find yourself on the wrong side of that argument. It is applicable here. There is no rule against it.
There has to be a rule for it to go to court. TtkuAgreed, it's not in the NFL Rulebook. But if the issue goes to Court, you will find yourself on the wrong side of that argument.
The whole movement has become so counter-productive, that any clear-eyed assessment would recommend regrouping, and find a realistic, constructive, and effective framework to move forward. If Mainstream America rejects a frank discussion of the Value of every member of the human race, then God save us.
It will be the Players taking it to court the first time one of them is benched or fined. Since the Courts have ruled that the First Amendments protections do not apply to the private workplace during the course of business, Players will lose. There has to be a rule for it to go to court. Ttku
Again you clearly don't understand there is no rule for them to be benched or fined. The NFL isn't FedEx. They can not arbitrarily bench or fine a player for which there is no rule or policy. It will be the Players taking it to court the first time one of them is benched or fined. Since the Courts have ruled that the First Amendments protections do not apply to the private workplace during the course of business, Players will lose.
Wow! Kick off yesterday at Jacksonville! This is a problem.View attachment 161056
Breibart. Lol at least throw some numbers in there to make it look somewhat credible.
Look at the pictures. That don't mean they aren't making money though. Those seats were sold.Breibart. Lol at least throw some numbers in there to make it look somewhat credible.
Jacksonville doesn't have a strong following. When our family went to a game there 5 years ago, fully half the fans there were Bears fans. Midway through the third quarter 80 percent were Bears fans.Look at the pictures. That don't mean they aren't making money though. Those seats were sold.
Yes and all the faux Patriots can go back to watching football again.Goodell could just send out a new directive requiring everyone to stand. Doubtful he will bother since the whole thing seems to be winding down and running out of steam. He will probably let it fade into obscurity.
Definitely not a 1st Amendment issue.
