You do realize some commercials are local? Have you never seen your local car dealers commercial on SNF?Fedex ran an employment ad on Sunday Night Football last night.
Pretty sad when your company has to go on national tv and beg for employees.
Corporate America is run by cry babies constantly whining about labor. It’s a necessary evil they need to get over. Just like us having to pay by taxes and pay for insurance. We don’t necessarily like it but we know we have to take the salt with the sugar in this world. It isn’t. But that’s corporate America and it’s disdain for labor. They forgot to mention the part where "my work is undervalued".Wrong national
It's a poor setup to begin with and for contractors it's an impossible situation. Good to see that contractors in your station are perhaps learning to stick together and refuse to be played off against one another.None of the contractors around here even care anymore. We’ve decided (after seeing the ridiculous upcoming agreement) that the company is dead set on taking area and setting up new service areas to limit contractor size. Service numbers aren’t going to matter. They will find an excuse to downsize any operation. So relax, cash the checks, carry on.
I'm not surprised. If they had to pay 20 bucks an hour just to get minimal effort do they really think that they'll get maximum effort for 15?I quit last year but my brother still works there and keeps me updated. They started paying all package handlers $20+/hr because they didn't have enough bodies to get the sort done but management is confident they'll have enough people to get through peak so they're going to end surge pay starting November 1st![]()
Perhaps I understated the situation. Contractors are giving their businesses back to the company and walking away. It's a poor setup to begin with and for contractors it's an impossible situation. Sounds like it could eventually be a win for you if you can hold out long enough for FedEx to realize there is no more blood to squeeze out of you turnips.Perhaps I understated the situation. Contractors are giving their businesses back to the company and walking away.

I am sincere when I say that I hope that you can get out under favorable terms. Roadway stayed B to B because it recognized the design limitations of the business model. It did what it was designed for pretty good but could not be all things to all people and serve numerous markets.Perhaps I understated the situation. There’s a certain freedom in not caring at this point. I can fail pretty badly and not think twice about it. They have far bigger messes to figure out.I am sincere when I say that I hope that you can get out under favorable terms. Someone should inform FedEx.
Wow. That’s quite a dive. I didn’t realize it was that’s bad.View attachment 355639
One of the guys who walked away sent this to me today.
Granted, he’s got considerable money and this is an investment for him. Problem is that the investment is a money loser.
Remember when these investors were the ones FedEx was courting? They’re getting out.View attachment 355639
