No you should be getting mileage. That is something you can file onNo we don't get paid for mileage. The task is treated as if it's just something small and extra we could do rather than another entire position

Sorry, but it is not okay to take an underage preloader who would not be getting proper compensation to shuttle. If they wanted an underage person to do this, being 21 wouldn't be requirement.
Wasn't offered a per mile compensation. Hell, I never even got to clock out and clock back in as Air Exception.Good God you’re dense. Right from Article 40 (you should know what that means being an expert)

Yes I am, just because you're doing it doesn't mean it's okay to do. It's not. Union needs to be notified about this.
You know a conversation is bizarre when I agree with you
He can absolutely shuttle packages under 21. He just can't do it in a UPS vehicle.

I'm not one to fire back like I know it all or anything, I don't. But it does seem weird that we're used for this purpose without any different job classification. What usually happens is a Sup will come around and ask people if they want to run the late air and a few will stay and say yes (me) then after it comes our center manager decides who takes what to who and writes down which packages goes to which truck - leaving us to call, use our own gps, and drive. I'm not gonna act like I never do that outside of work, but being encouraged to do so in the workplace is odd and not very safe to me.The Union knows.
No I did not get compensated nor did I even touch a DIAD. My car was literally filled with packages and I only got a piece of paper with lets say 4 trucks and the PAL #s of the packages that go with each truck. For everything else I was on my own.Did he get compensated for mileage? When I was a 22.3, occasionally I would deliver air (and ground) in my truck. I forget what it was, but I had to enter a number in the DIAD that indicated it was not a company vehicle. Did the kid do this?
Now we fight!Agreed and I beat you to it.
You wouldn't need a DIAD if you didn't deliver. No I did not get compensated nor did I even touch a DIAD. My car was literally filled with packages and I only got a piece of paper with lets say 4 trucks and the PAL #s of the packages that go with each truck. For everything else I was on my own.
I know, just letting the quoted poster knowYou wouldn't need a DIAD if you didn't deliver.
My bad. This whole thread is a little tough to followThere was even one point where I had a wrong address so I had to drive
I know, just letting the quoted poster know
While you're here I have a question for you. You may or may not know but, how come I, as a preloader, am able to run air to whoever but the PVD's age restriction is 21?My bad. This whole thread is a little tough to follow
Couldn't tell you what the deal is thereWhile you're here I have a question for you. You may or may not know but, how come I, as a preloader, am able to run air to whoever but the PVD's age restriction is 21?
Figured. That's why I was bothered in this situation in the first place. I was loaded up to the brim with boxes, but PVDs would get paid base more than my overtime and get mile compensation while holding the same amount of package mass; the only difference being they have someone sign their phone. That really ticked me off.Couldn't tell you what the deal is there
OP, don't do it anymore.
Technically like 7 monthsSo, how long you been driving?
