I live in Seattle where, as mentioned, the minimum wage was recently raised to $15/hr.
A recent study published revealed that Seattle small business jobs have been LESSENED by over 5000 jobs... that's 5000 people without work now all because burger flippers felt entitled.
Thank You! Also nice to see another Washingtonian here.

Lol yep starbucks, Microsoft is hiring often, UPS is hiring in the area, construction is always hiring in Seattle especially for flaggers. People need to go get flaggers cards. They make damn good money for holding a sign.

Missouri Republicans Lower St. Louis Minimum Wage From $10 To $7.70

After St. Louis leaders raised the wage floor for workers within city limits, the state GOP recently passed what’s known as a statewide “preemption” law, forbidding localities from taking such matters into their own hands. On Friday, Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens (R) said he would let the law go into effect, thereby barring cities and counties from setting a minimum wage higher than the state level.

For low-wage earners in St. Louis itself, the new law will have a startling consequence: It will actually push the minimum wage back down, from the city-approved $10 per hour to the state-approved $7.70. The downgrade is slated to take effect on Aug. 28.

So how long do we give it to see the positive job growth because of the change? When will businesses start hiring all the extra people with their extra money? Or will demand go down with all that money being taken from the poor people that spend all of it every week?

You forgot to mention that, on average, workers make $130 less per month. After the hike due to less hours.
