Oh boy, Amazon is going to steal all our help.

I overheard a shop steward saying corporate will never budge on the $15/hr min. wage because they argue that a $15/hr min. wage for a part-time job is just that- a part-time job. It's not meant to be livable.

UPS Corporate is perpetually full of :censored2:. “Livability expectations” is a lame-ass excuse to not pay workers what they’re worth. And it’ll show in UPS’s competition with Amazon and other companies for seasonal workers.

Word’s out that the UPS seasonal experience is :censored2: and news headlines are full of “Amazon will pay $15/hr” 7 weeks before Thanksgiving week.

Right in the midst of our contract battle Jeff Bezos decides to raise the minimum wage of all Whole Foods and Amazon workers to $15 p/hour. Is this a coincidence or is Bezos as ruthless as they come.

Deranged lunatic
Walmart is shaking in its boots
walmart seems equally poorly managed.
Their self-checkout had an upgrade and now it takes a ton of time to override pricing. Management wants to record the reason why in telematics and call you into the office wondering why you took so long / overriding too many times.

Walmart employees should seriously think about unionizing... Their stores are still highly profitiable and not all jobs can be automated as quickly as they make you think.

He makes Amazon/Whole Foods a "living wage" employer in their customers' eyes and softens negative opinions regarding the recent $20 annual Prime membership fee increase ($99 --> $119). Also wins the strong economy holiday recruiting battle.

That's a winning no matter who we figured it out. UPS is Archaic! They are
Trying now hard, but really there is no catch up for them any time sooner with FedEx or Amazon. They are cheaper, they always working cost effective. Now they will face the consequences.

Allergic to cardboard.
I wonder if Amazon allows people to wander around looking at their phones....

Or, sit in the bathroom for a half hour everyday ?

Whats worse;

Sitting on the toilet using your phone ?

Or, the person with nothing better to do than take a picture of it ?

UPS Teamsters.... representing solidarity.
Sitting on the toilet using your phone is worse. It can lead to hemorrhoids.

Stop any tax payper subsidies and let them compete.
