it's actually a serious issue that we are causing ourselves

turnover among senior employees skyrockets and then you're screwed with just new hires

if a building is in trouble with staffing they ought to pay the retention bonus to every insider

Here in Seattle our Helpers get $200 a week bonus and $15/hour. We still can't find enough.

I hear the contract negotiations are headed toward something like "Market area adjustments." Where local areas with High cost of living will have higher pay rates, especially the starting wage on the driver pay scale since those areas can't get anyone to fill vacant driving jobs a the pittifil starting rate plus you have to work 14 hours on Saturdays now.
