Permanent layoffs question

Here, in my hub, they laid off tons of pt employees on the midnight sort, and brought a bunch of 22.4's to work the boxlines.
Meanwhile, where I had to work 6 days to get 42 or so hours, I'm now getting 42 in 5 days.
I get that they are saving money on benefits, but it baffles me that we are still having the blue vest new hires. Wtf?

Companies have a hard time growing and shrinking to minimize damage.
Just go get the strike line BBQ and football ready, will ya.

They should make those a five year bid job

Lots of old guys that need an extra year or two for pension credit they can't do this job anymore use a job like that
Yep…some of these old timers who are almost there need a little something to make that jump. ..would be nice to get a small buyout but nwif is that going to happen.
