Blacks have a collective racial identity, because we were collectively persecuted for the color of our skin. Where we came from in Africa didn't matter. White people were persecuted for where they came from so they have more-or-less ethno-nationalist identities.
By persecuting White people for their skin color, for some kind of past guilt being White is supposed to endow on a person, only serves to create the kind of backwards collective racial identity in Whites that is found in Blacks.

It appears as if much of what's going on regarding the "Wokeness" comes from Dr. Pierce; author of the Turner Diaries.
He theorized that Whites would accept a secondary status in society which would eventually ripen them for a bloody racial insurrection. White people's feet need to be held to the fire so-to-speak. This reflects the reality that most men need to be forced to fight against their government because the biological imperative to work and provide for one's family over-rides the messages of propaganda alone. Often the only way to get a man to fight his government is if you can accelerate that government into actually threatening his family, and the ability to provide for them, thus triggering the biological imperative to survive.
Thankfully, however, Dr. Pierce theorized that White people would accept being oppressed, being too afraid of being called Racists to resist, and while this is true in many people, it is also the opposite in many people. People are already starting to tire of all the racial division. We may well get to a place where our individual social instincts kick in and the Racial-"Warriors" of all races get dealt with accordingly for the well being of families, and the sake of a well ordered society.
