Putin Biden Ukraine Negotiations

Charter that isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. Germany has virtually no military, England has the fewest ships its had since the 1600 hundreds. France is not gonna fight. So what’s left? A handful of tiny countries that Putin would chew up. Remember, majority of nato countries don’t even contribute enough to it.
Depends on the leadership. OK, we're screwed. But I still don't think Russia is going to plow through Eastern Europe. The Soviet Union had 375 million population. Russia has 146 million and a feeble economy. Expect at least the Eastern European countries to fight because it's their necks on the line.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

I don’t think they will either.

Here are the cold facts. In 1991 when the Soviet Union collapsed NATO consisted of 16 member nations Secretary of State James Baker told the Russian delegation that following the reunification of Germany it would be the only addition to NATO and NATO would not advance any further eastward.
So here we are 2022 and those 16 NATO member nations? Guess how many there are now?.....30. With nearly all of them former Warsaw Pact nations. Putin is right. After having been lied to by the West in the past why should he believe it now when it says that it has no current plans to admit Ukraine to NATO despite Ukraine says that it wants to. BTW if he wanted to once again stack Cuba full of nuclear missiles which he can.....what do you think about that?
The president of Finland made a good point today when he pointed to the fact that the situation in Europe is some ways more dangerous that it was during the Cold War. Back then as he pointed out there were agreements understandings and treaties with the Soviet Union where both understood what would happen if they didn't stay out o each others way....that don't exist anymore.

According to this AM's intelligence report Russian has 120 of it's 160 conventionally armed combat battalions parked on the Ukraine border. So you tell me what do you think he'll do after he bulldozes over Ukraine? Keep going westward into Moldova or Romania? Or perhaps turn north toward Poland? BTW He's an autocratic president, been in office for 22 years, doesn't have to answer to anybody and couldn't care less about how much suffering sanctions would inflict on the population.
Why should the west be honest with world leaders like Putin? Also autocrats still have people they have to answer to, you don’t run a nation by yourself. Everyone of those guys has powerful supporters they can’t upset or not look after.

I'd be moving some missiles into poland along with some heavy armored brigades. Putin hates having us in his back yard.

Ukraine is not worth fighting for. They're a screwed up country as it is and may never change.
Preventing WWIII is worth providing some deterrence.

and when you cut off pipelines and stop oil exploration in the US oil prices skyrocket.
so now instead of paying americans to pump oil we're going to pay russians and arabs to do so. just to pretend we're concerned about our environment.
in the meantime we make ourselves more dependent on foreign oil and weaken our position globally.
We're then going to pay to transport it over large oceans and increase the risk of an oil spill in the oceans just to pretend we care about the environment.

you cant deflect and defend this stupidity. its not possible.
You will pay Arabs and Russians anyway. Oil is a worldwide commodity. There is no hometown discount. If Russia wants the price at $120 per barrel, they can put it there. If they want it there for 5 years, they can keep it there. Saudi Arabia doesn’t have that flexibility, but they can definitely manipulate the prices.

Let's test your theory by becoming the world's top producer again and energy independent.

Again. Our hands are tied economically. US companies shut down production of shale when prices drop because, well, because it’s just not profitable.

And when we were the world's top producer during the administration of you-know-who our prices were much lower.

We are the top producer. By a lot. But the world economy is far more robust right now and that economy runs on oil.

Latest numbers I've seen are for 2020 when you-know-who was president. Biden has asked Saudi Arabia and Russia to increase production while he put the brakes on drilling and exploration on Federal land here. And there was that article posted recently here that said the Biden administration is pressuring banks to not lend to oil companies. They're out to ruin our oil industry and turn us over to renewable energy. A self inflicted wound.

Just saw on a site called World Population Review that as of 2022 the U.S. is #3 behind Russia and Saudi Arabia. And since we are the world's biggest oil consumer that makes us very dependent on foreign oil. There's a reason gas prices at the pump are so high and it falls squarely on the Biden administration.

It was written on the wall. Directly after the Olympics with Brandon in the WH. A perfect formula for Russian aggression. If Trump was the potus this wouldn't be a plan.
But wait!!
Pathetic Joe is talking about holding a Summit on the issue!

Don’t worry!
Just out:
Biden agree to meet with Putin but only through a medium and an approved telepathic channel.
