Removing EDD (RDO) as an option

They just rolled this out Monday. Had me driving back and forth between delivery areas 3-4 times today.

"But it's an optimized and efficient solution!"

What's also great is scrolling through several pages to find my next stop. I'm having to remind myself to look at the next box on the shelf a lot.

Since our ability to view stops in any sort of coherent order has been crippled, will be forced to revert to pre-EDD methods in order to function.

We all know it completely screws up the order of our stops, today I found out it can't even navigate from point a to point b in the most efficient/shortest path. II'l hit the map/nav button randomly just to see orion's path. Had me taking a route about a mile longer than needed today to my next stop. I promptly pulled a back first exception to follow its path, thought maybe it knew something I didn't. It did not.

Had that happen to me today. The navigation said my next stop was 4.8 miles. I went my way and it was only 3.3.......smh

I drive.

I just deliver whatever HIN number is the lowest. Made it a little easier today. Look at the stop, look at the HIN, go.

ODO works nice on extra routes with zero pickups , other than that forget about it..sorry UPS , thanks for the OT !
If they would just leave your pickups in the schedule pickups and not mixed in with the deliveries it would at least make some sense. Let me decide when to cut off to get them.

We lost Orion on Monday too. Monday's route was fine. Tuesday's was a joke. Today wasn't so bad due to area knowledge, but we got out 30 minutes late and I had enough air to run until 10:50 almost. Tomorrow is a mystery but I'm guessing it'll be my 4th route this week.

But one thing I did think of to do today that I didn't the past two days... I wait until right before we leave and go to the computer, sort by HIN on the screen, then take pictures of it for my own reference. Sure, I'm using my own phone for work purposes, but I'm also not dealing with the headache of running circles.

Just for s*s and giggles today, I did follow Orion for a good 2 or so hours before pulling back onto my normal method of running this route. I don't get what the idea is for it, but whatever. Peak should be interesting.

Precisely the way I run my truck. I set it up like I was taught to years ago.
I never looked at EDD
And I don't look at orion.
And guess what....it all gets delivered.

1. On dispatch computer, change ODO tab to RDO.
2. Get EDD
3. Change back to ODO on dispatch computer to cover your tracks.

Do not get EDD again when it says you have updates.
Tried to do that on Monday, but RDO isn't an option. When you click the arrow it says either "off" or "odo", no other options :(
