Retro check amount

35years

Gravy route
yup until April 1st . So Ups owes me .70 cents per hour from Aug 1st- march 30th

You might want to look at this old thread about retro pay for former employees, and what happened last time in 2014...
Retro pay after termination or resignation

Looks like you may have had to work until April 29th... Those 21 work days you are short may have cost you thousands.

Think of all the money UPS has saved by not paying all the guys who quit or retired since August of last year, plus the interest they made on our money. All of that money should be distributed.

Maybe @BigUnionGuy could tell us if someone quit before the contract was ratified would they still recieve a retro check even though they are no longer employed at UPS but still worked between August 1st to anytime before April 29th?

They most likely will not since the contract was still under the old pay scale. They didn't get retro in 2014, doubtful they will this time.

No need to look back at that . The contract is the contract .

Unless.... state or federal law can compel UPS to pay him a raise, on a contract

that hadn't been ratified, at a job where he no longer works....

He's :censored2: out of luck.

Contract wasn't ratified until April 29th. You were working under the old contract.
Sorry
I understand this line of reasoning, but HR actually no doubt told a lot of seasonal hires that their current pay rate was $13.00 minimum while neglecting to mention the fine print (only telling them that the difference will be paid when the contract is ratified). There are probably plenty of seasonals that wouldn't have worked without being told that. Is there not a potential for a class-action lawsuit over this?

HR lies a lot about a lot of things.

WTF are you talking about? You quit before the contract was ratified therefore you will not recieve your retro check because you did not wait until everything was settled. Why do you think everyone else on your sort has waited to quit? Hope you enjoy a 0 dollar retro check, your going to sue ups HUH that's hilarious they have lawyers that would make your attorney wet their pants before they even got to court.

Reading is fundamental , all you have to do is read the contract buddy.
