Saturday Sheet Show

What is it? A brown box. Duh
Both at first, then they started to increase the SPC. A couple weekends ago we had drivers come back with missed pieces to avoid DOT violation. The problem is when you screw all the routes no one can help anyone else. Having fewer drivers just magnified the piss poor dispatch.
How do you have missed pieces on a Saturday, arent they still tied to Monday's numbers?

Some days it really sucks but at least we get paid well if I had a Penny for Everytime I thought about quitting I would be a billionaire.
You think we are paid well??? Come on man. You know we make less then they did in the 80s. When you do an inflation ratio, we make about $13 less an hour then they did in the early 80s! Top rate should be around $47-$48 to match the same ratio....

I agree. Another thing I've noticed being a cover driver is how messed up pick up allowances are. There is one route in particular that is almost impossible to be within compliance because the times are beyond stupid. The first 3 pick ups are in the same alley which you could do from one park position because 2 of the pick ups never send anything. The allowance is 4 minutes in between each of these pick ups!

Then at 16:00 you have to be at 2 different places that are 11 blocks apart, so you automatically get behind there. Then at 16:10 you have 1 minute to drive almost a mile to the next pick up which always ships 20+ boxes of car parts! Even starting pick ups 15 minutes early, you'll end up over 20 minutes behind.

So whenever I hear about pick up compliance I just ignore it because management is too ignorant to adjust anything.
I have a 1030 pick up at a bank everyday.. informed all 3 on roads.. the center manager.. and dispatch to change it to 3pm when I'm in the area to be in compliance I can't make it while I'm running air out on the other side of town.. and then it just sits in my truck all day anyways.. no reason for it to be 1030.. so I just pick it up in trace, they've never said anything to me, but complain everyday that we only hit 78% almost every day... I told center manager if you fixed these issues, I bet we make 80%... But they never fix it for anyone...

I think you should start a Go Fund Me page to make up the difference.

No.. I'll just be very adherent to the new contract negotiations coming up in my region.. I wasn't almost a defense attorney for no reason.. I'll be fighting for Ours! 2 year progression, minimum $40 top rate, and irregs off package cars are going to be my fights..

5 year progression.

Two tiered wage for new FT hires.

FT wage freeze with raises diverted to boost PT starting rate.

Irregs are not going anywhere----they are a huge source of revenue.

Allergic to cardboard.
He's got a point-----any undelivered pieces should simply be deleted from the DIAD and put back out for delivery on Monday. There should be ZERO missed on a Saturday.
Saturday is a normal delivery day for those locations running Saturday ground. Why would undelivered pieces just be "deleted" from the DIAD? And what happens to the tracking information for that customer?

So is it like peak, where Saturday is just using the plan for Monday?Nothing will show as out for delivery. Businesses aren't scanned, anything not delivered is not scanned.

And in return for these major concessions we get??? No full time employees would vote for this. No way even our WEAK union would present this to be voted on. I know give us a $1000 bonus and we'll all vote yes. You are just a smidge wrong.
