You can always tell the young ones. Believe it or not when I was growing up a hundred years ago the word on the street was that SS would go bankrupt by the 80's. Medicare is NOT a joke. I shutter to think how many people would be homeless if there was no Medicare to pay 80% of their later on in life medical bills.

No one is picking their nose. They are doing training and maintenance. Processing refugees is a civilian mission not a military mission. Just a political stunt to put fear into the electorate at the cost of hundreds of millions of US tax Dollars days before an election.

America sends out more foreign aid than any other country. We have more private charities than any other country operating both foreign and domestic. Since 2000 there have been on average 1,000,000 immigrant admitted to the US every year. The UK only let in 300kish, Canada only 275k Sweeden 140k, and the list goes on and on.....

I'd rather healthcare be not-for-profit, or have both for profit and nonprofit options available, and for the government to stay out of it beyond common sense regulation. Focus on minimizing costs, implementing technology to streamline processes and improve access, minimize liability for anything short of gross negligence. There are so many ways that healthcare can be improved that don't involve insurance or government controlling money. Insurance and government only drive up costs and limit access.

Same goes for cost of college. Whenever the government is gets involved and guarantees loans, money, whatever. Those programs inflate exponentially.

You seem unaware that healthcare sucks in most of these countries that have single payer. You're "covered" but only when you can actually see the doctor. Many procedures take years to get when it would take a week or two in the US. In most cases we also have the highest expertise and technology. Which is why VIP's from around the world leave their country and have procedures done in the US.

Sloveia has a higher life expectancy than us. All this high tech medical bs you’ve been feed is absolutely unnecessary. Clean water, proper waste systems and real food are all we need to live long healthy lives. Over priced medicine and procedures are a waste to pad the pockets of big pharma, medical sales people, and tons of people inbetween.

Another thing to consider is communist Cuba was the country that came up with a cure for cancer. It’s only lung cancer, but still.

Our high tech, amazingly advance heath care is absolute bs and absolutely unnecessary.

If I am following your logic correctly you want the government to take over control of UPS? I never said there aren't any problems with corporate structure, quite the opposite. I've been trying to come up with ideas to fix the problems, like the one you describe, that are fair and are compatible with the ideals of liberty.

It's not an easy task, and the current system works well enough for a large enough majority of people that, even if a good solution were found, change would be difficult.
