The YES vote on the ups freight contract will be strong

Discussion in 'UPS Union Issues' started by futile process, Nov 10, 2018.

  1. This strike cheer leading is a bunch of empty talk. The contract will pass by large margin.

Only if they are serving an all you can eat breakfast at the hall will you see a large turnout, otherwise it will be imposed

You've got a few hours left to post about how the vote will pass.
Then you may have lots of time to post about why it should've passed.

The vote turn out in 2013 was higher when they did it at the local union halls and it will be the same in 2018. UPS freight teamsters vote.

They dont have the numbers to cripple ups like small package does. They should vote yes.

  8. That's why they got offered the poor language they got the first time?

Dont you think that all the powers that be know the score before the games starts?

The rest is just fishing imo.

As per the Teamsters website they will have a conference call to announce the results of the vote 9pm Eastern on Sunday night. And the next steps for whichever way the vote goes.

Even with a yes vote on the 2nd go around some people will be laid off due to loss of volume. Be sure to thank TDU and the vote no Facebook page.

  17. I believe tomorrow night

  18. Great time of the year for the company to play hardball.

If they strike I'm sure that drivers all over the country will be calling in for help with their over 70s...

    you know,

  19. You think that they are going to walk?

  20. 50/50.
    They're angry.
I heard that they have major support if they do walk.
    That's all I can say.

Ive found no one who replies to what the sticking point(s) may be so it's hard to quess.
