Name the ones doing better? Australia certainly isn't.many countries have democracy problem right now. many also doing better than america like australia and some EU countries.
yea they have cheap tuition, higher wages. unfortunately they have a housing bubble. australia also enjoy life more instead of working to live like north america.Name the ones doing better? Australia certainly isn't.
They don't have higher wages when you adjust for the exchange rate.yea they have cheap tuition, higher wages. unfortunately they have a housing bubble. australia also enjoy life more instead of working to live like north america.
im not sure exchange rates float. They don't have higher wages when you adjust for the exchange rate.
And due to the lower value of the Australian Dollar it costs more to import goods. You need to be paid more there to stay afloat. Which makes it tougher for their businesses to stay afloat. And while it's double our Federal minimum wage most businesses in the U.S. pay more.im not sure exchange rates float.
wages should be based on what you can buy in that country.
australia min wage is $20 or $15 usd per hour. thats doubleve usd federal min wage.
the median income in america is $16/hr. which is australia min wage. And due to the lower value of the Australian Dollar it costs more to import goods. You need to be paid more there to stay afloat. Like Canada a country that large full of resources with a very small population should provide a good life for most of its citizens. But to say it's doing better overall is misleading. There are many times as many Americans doing as well or better than the average Australian.the median income in america is $16/hr. which is australia min wage.
australians have a higher standard of living than we do and that obviously accounts for costs.
i think depending where you are in canada we are doing better than america. if you are somewhere with inflated housing then no. but our govt works better, we got healthcare, slightly more affordable tuition, better public transit.Like Canada a country that large full of resources with a very small population should provide a good life for most of its citizens. All good things. But the total number of people doing well in Canada is far less than the total number of people doing well in the U.S. You're going to find that as you let more and more immigrants in if you don't have the jobs to employ most of them you'll spend more and more on welfare, increasing taxation and bringing your standard of living down. Happening in the U.S, and with automation that's accelerating. Which brings out the socialists thinking they have a better way. About all we can do is struggle and strive until we die and hope the country doesn't end up like India or Venezuela.i think depending where you are in canada we are doing better than america. if you are somewhere with inflated housing then no. but our govt works better, we got healthcare, slightly more affordable tuition, better public transit.
im a huge believer in free movement of labour, not just capital. aka free markets. how do you measure which country is the best? i base it on how much protests they have, how much equality, the weather, housing, work life balance. if it werent for the weather, it would be nordic countries. but i like french weather and protests too. public transportation. All good things. Doesn't change the fact that Canada is marching quickly towards mediocrity and all the protesting won't change it. When prosperous Canadians start seeing their way of life diminish to support an ever increasing group that moved there for the benefits you'll see real conflict. Fact of life in France, Sweden, Germany and elsewhere. We should be building markets in developing nations so that they have a reason to stay. Instead we exploit low labor costs overseas while constantly letting in millions we can make money off of by feeding, clothing, and housing them. And when automation replaces a lot of jobs we'll have tens of millions of desperately poor who won't be able to find work.im a huge believer in free movement of labour, not just capital. aka free markets. how do you measure which country is the best? i base it on how much protests they have, how much equality, the weather, housing, work life balance. if it werent for the weather, it would be nordic countries. but i like french weather and protests too.
why not let people freely choose which country they can live in? seems oppressive and discriminatory to be tied to a country because you are born there and poor. the poor need the most help to move from poor countries.Doesn't change the fact that Canada is marching quickly towards mediocrity and all the protesting won't change it. Most countries have a process by which people can move there. You just have to meet their qualifications. But sovereign nations have the right to control who gets in.why not let people freely choose which country they can live in? seems oppressive and discriminatory to be tied to a country because you are born there and poor. the poor need the most help to move from poor countries.
im not sure immigration has affected standard of living, but if it has thats fine with me. what also has affect standard of living is capitalists greed, inflated college, housing, global warming will affect standard of living, govt capture by big money. you could be right standard of living is falling here. i know in america it is, this is the first generation in america where its fallen.
The cops on scene probably called LeBron to see how they should handle it.It would be interesting to know if arrests were made swiftly or was there any hesitancy due to the racial component?
yea its a big control system. its not freedom. security is one thing. qualifications is quite another. its not a free market either. Most countries have a process by which people can move there. You just have to meet their qualifications. But sovereign nations have the right to control who gets in.
Take a small, poor country made up almost entirely of one ethnic group with a specific culture and religion. Should they be forced to take in other poor people with different cultural and religious values? Sovereign nations have the right to preserve their way of life and base any immigration on who can help their country, not weigh it down. Just because you want to go wherever you like when you like doesn't mean others should be forced to accept you.yea its a big control system. its not freedom. security is one thing. qualifications is quite another. its not a free market either.
yea they should be force to accept me. thats freedom of movement. i dont believe laws should always be followed either. the world is a mixing pot and not everyone sees everything the same.Take a small, poor country made up almost entirely of one ethnic group with a specific culture and religion.
