Why would any Pilot vote for a Democrat?

Let it be noted, no one has said ban jets tomorrow. As usual the right wingers are using hyperbole. This pilot knows that the electrical and solar jets are not that far off. Why do right wingers think jets are finished tomorro? They live in conspiracy world. It makes Brown Cafe disgraceful.

$11.5M army funding supports aircraft hybrid-electric engine research at UW-Madison

My alma mater is working on it. Have a niece who's significant other is involved in the research as a grad student.

Are you serious?
The "new, more efficient technology" has cost countless jobs.
Driverless trucks costs jobs;
Diad has dumbed down our jobs so that any chimpanzee can do it;
Auto makers are using robots to build cars and;
Self check out has cost jobs at Wal Mart.

Technology forces humans (you know, the people that spend money) to be faster and more productive hence eliminating jobs.

What color is the sky in your world?
The car really hurt the blacksmith job market, but created an entire new market for car mechanics. Individual jobs are not the economy as a whole. My question was when was the last time new tech hurt the economy.

When has a concerted effort been made to eliminate up to 50% of existing jobs in a relatively short time? Offshoring factory jobs turned us into a service economy. How has that worked out for about half of the workforce? Now they want to use technology to get rid of jobs completely across a wide spectrum, including high paying jobs like accounting. What exactly are they going to replace those jobs with?

Other jobs, as has happened every other time in human history.

For that matter anyone(vote for a Democrat) really? One of the first things out of AOC's mouth was to get rid of air travel. Airplanes. Fracking. Hell, Biden and Harris both on tape admitting to it. Actually, I'm all for getting rid of oil. Great. However, we don't have any replacement. Ever heard of plastic? See, this is what makes voting for any Democrat impossible. Batcrap crazy amongst too many other things.

So, with no not even close to a replacement for airplanes(big ones).....why would ANY Pilot(hell ANYONE vote for a Democrat(in any capacity) who's job depends on oil? Serious question. How do you square this?
Same with Teamsters. Fossil fuels is everything! There is nothing else as of yet. No fuel, no job.

4 years of democrat controlled America, say goodbye to your job, your country, your currency and your healthcare.
Good Lord man, you realize that Obama was President for 8yrs? The party in charge has made no difference in my life for the last 40 yrs! You clowns need to worry about your individual situations more than the political news on Fox lol

Trying to develop future energy sources other than fossil fuels makes sense to anyone with an education...

Nothing wrong with "trying" to develop tech. Pretending like its already here or will be here next Thursday is preposterous. I dont think you "educated" folks understand how dependent the global nations are on the oil market. Shutting it down quickly would be catastrophic to the markets and to the populations.

Im completely infavor of newer, better, healthier tech. Not because of the fabricated global warming myth, but because its the right thing to do. But Im also not so irresponsible as to shut down all current tech immediately as Joe Biden suggested during the debates.

Its like the parable of the fool who takes a single plate to go collect two items from the market. Salt and pepper. He gets to the salt merchant, the merchant fills his plate. He goes to the pepper merchant, flips his plate upside down dumping the salt on the floor and says "put it here on this side so it doesnt mix with the salt". Gets back home, flips it over to get the salt and dumps the pepper on the floor. So eager to solve a problem and at the same time ruining both things because he was a fool.

Of course it does. And trying to impose those sources on us before they're developed enough to replace fossil fuels is the definition of stupidity considering we're a fossil fuel dependent economy. Making us convert over while the rest of the world that pollutes at a much higher level continues as they do now is another stupid idea. Every time climate change is brought up the eco warriors start talking about social justice and racism. Can't help but feel climate change is seen as the vehicle by which they finally impose socialism on us, not about saving the Earth.

Develop away. Once you do it with private investment, the money will flow to you like no tomorrow.
I think for someone with 47 yrs in politics Biden’s answer on the oil industry was stunningly poor from a politician.

Making a financial commitment to renewable energy sources makes a lot of sense to me. It should have been worded better.. because we are obviously still very dependent on fossil fuels right now and many voters work in those jobs

One thing about America's. You developed new and better technology and we flock to it.

They never talk about hydroelectric power. That's evil.
