Capitalism relies on ever increasing growth. The west can adopt Israel-style water policies and we’d still eventually run into the same problem. The candle is burning at both ends. The Columbia river is plentiful and close by, send 10% of that er south and we feed America for the next century.

They already can, by replying. But then other people can reply too. She wants final say. It's hubris to think you get to dictate really to everyone else. Plenty are paying attention, some are in denial that the government would do things like have a propaganda ministry, or build concentration camps. Just like the Germans in the early 1930's. History may not repeat itself, but it is certainly rhyming.
