16% raise sounds like a lot but this is going back almost 7 years. does that even make up for inflation over the last 7 years?

The Teamsters won’t be transporting General Motors vehicles during the United Auto Workers’ strike.

International Brotherhood of Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa said on Sunday that its members will stand in solidarity with the UAW and honor its picket lines as the union begins a strike against GM at midnight.

“Teamsters and the UAW have a decades-long relationship of having each other’s back,” Hoffa said.

Teamsters spokesman Bret Caldwell said 1,000 of its members will refuse to transport GM vehicles to dealerships as a show of solidarity during the strike.

UPS Freight voted down their proposed CBA.

Yet Hoffa, Hall, Taylor and the other red vested criminals were no where to be found?

The Hoffasters should have given UPS an ultimatum. UPS Package will stand with UPS Freight. Instead:

(WASHINGTON) – Our members at UPS Freight rejected the tentative agreement in a vote on October 5. The Teamsters National UPS Freight Negotiating Committee went back to the table with the company to address member concerns. Unfortunately, the company refused to address a number of key issues for our members. The company presented the negotiating committee with a last, best and final offer on October 24 that our members will vote on beginning November 7 with the results announced on November 11.

This company made the decision to give a last, best and final offer and to stop taking freight. This could all have been resolved by the company addressing the key issues at the negotiating table.

The negotiating committee has determined that the LBFO does not sufficiently address the issues raised by the members. Nevertheless, because of the company’s insistence that there is no more money to be had and in order to allow you to make an informed decision on a question that will affect you and your family, the negotiating committee decided to submit the LBFO for acceptance or rejection. You have already authorized a strike. While a strike is a last resort, if you reject this final offer from the company there will be no other options and there will be a strike at a time and location(s) determined by the negotiating committee.

While the national negotiating committee makes no recommendation for or against this offer, we have agreed to forward it to you for your acceptance or rejection as the consequences of this decision are yours alone to make.

Pieces of work. Refuse to haul ANY and ALL GM cars....yet for UPS Freight workers; "location(s) determined by the negotiating committee." NO: We will shut that sh#t down across the board. Strike every UPS Freight location. What a bunch of colluding clowns.

The Dog and Pony show goes on. At 11:59 or 12:01: An agreement will be reached. So says Zoltar.

These friend*cks should all be behind bars.

Here is what that POS Hoffa "pledged" when the IPA (represent UPS pilots) was on the eve of a possible strike in 2015:

What’s more, leadership at the International Brotherhood of Teamsters said today that General President James Hoffa and General Secretary-Treasurer hall told the IPA’s President Captain Robert Travis in a letter that “if a strike is necessary, we will not cross your lines, but will stand with you on them.”

Why no tough guy language regarding UPS Package standing with UPS Freight? All UPS freight received for their dues was scare tactics and threats from their own union.

The truth never changes.

The big question is why there are warehouses named UPS Logistics where the warehouse employees are not Union nor allowed to Unionize. By the way, they are paid crappy wages. The one close to me is a huge warehouse in Mira Loma

Because Freight turned down a contract that Hoffa and his negotiating committee accepted and recommended to the members.

The UAW did not come to an agreement on a contract with GM like Hoffa did with UPS.

Same with the IPA. Hoffa said that if a strike is necessary, he would back it.

Do you really think that Hoffa would back a strike from members that rejected a contract that he recommended?

exactly, it's not about what the members want, it's about what king hoffa thinks is best.

What are you babbling about now.... ?

The Union had strike authorization from the members.

But, when UPS made their LBFO and started emptying freight out of the system,

the members panicked.... and voted overwhelming to accept the last offer.
You have a habit of being disingenuous when it comes to details. You know what I'm talking about.
