Brian D. Sicknick

DriveInDriveOut

Inordinately Right
The Times came under some criticism for reporting the fire extinguisher information, but I believe two sources for that account were law enforcement officials (unnamed). They corrected it early but the right-wing media is predictably using this as a cudgel and a distraction from the fact that the guy wouldn't have died if it had not been for the insane violence that day.
Print edition. Of course they're going to edit the story online.
You're just flat out wrong.
They never printed a retraction or a correction.

They updated an online article 40 days after it was first put up. That's at least 2 weeks after CNN reported the medical examiner report says no blunt trauma.

The New York Times is trash, I don't know why you're going out of your way to defend it.

Doesn't fit within your worldview, @oldngray? Sorry.
The issue isn't whether or not Officer Sicknick died as a result of his interactions with the Capitol Protest, it's the rabid portrayal by the media of the cause of his death, unverified, and ultimately completely fallacious.

Once again proving Trump correct about MSM.

Did your fake woke rappers tell you to hate the president, do drugs, and treat women like disposable whores? (Yes)
"Treat women like disposable whores". We just voted out of office a "Christian" who spoke openly about about grabbing females by the genitals . But at least he paid his mistresses. The question will be did he write it off his income tax?

The Portland riots weren't an attack on our democracy, dude.
Good point. You can't point to the excesses on the left without pointing to the excesses on the right. If the acts committed by people during the city riots rise to the level of federal charges then the feds will take over. The acts committed on federal grounds on 1-6 are without question federal offenses and will be dealt with accordingly. Too bad for the people charged if they ruined their lives for the sake of personality cult.

That you think the Capitol riot was way worse than what happened last summer with dozens killed, thousands injured, and billions lost is what is astonishing. But then you've stated here that the Capitol rioters would have taken over the country which is ludicrous.

I encourage you and OMJ to go back and read Steven Sund's testimony at yesterdays' congressional hearing regarding the capital siege on 1-6 then try to downplay and deflect the violence and the threat to the foundations of the U.S government. Pay careful attention to his description of the types of weapons they had with them and then try to tell us that their intentions were peaceful in nature.
