I'm remember 407 telling me how screwed up it was.
Looks like they took out the 9.5 language too. I guess day after Thanksgiving is still double time
Is that a No vote?
Also if you are laid off you HAVE to work two part time shifts if there is an hour and half or less gap
Because we still get paid double time? Hell yeah it is. That's not fair to the company
Is that a bad thing? What was it previously?
I wasn't talking about Black Friday
You had a choice of displacing one or two part timers. While I am all in favor of screwing part timers over. It should be your choice as to if you want one or two shifts
You should definitely walk over that issue.
They did leave some personally beneficial language in there in regards to route changes that I like. About who they can bump
Full-time jobs are best for everyone.
Except the other part timer who gets laid off, but I guess they aren't really people so they don't count
They are people, but full-time jobs must be preserved and supported to ensure the future.
Sacrifices unfortunately have to be made and accepted for the greater good.
Hopefully they can bump the customer counter....
@Big Arrow Down...D would vote for that.
I don't see where this extra verbiage clarifies anything in an already vague and arbitrarily interpreted article?
In fact, I can see where it may open the door wider for the Company.
If "the Company and Union agree that there are other cardinal offenses", define them for Christ's sake?
....also, I have always scratched my head on how the verbiage:
"an employee may be suspended in lieu of discharge"
....is practiced exactly the opposite, where the employee is always discharged, not suspended?
Just the opposite
What a joke. That's worse than the NMA.
Separate names with a comma.
