Fauci is more politician than doctor. He is unable to balance the costs of keeping the country shut down vs starting to open things back up.
IMO those two sentences contradict each other.
IMO Fauci is more or mostly doctor/scientist and in that role, his goal is zero cases and zero deaths.
His input is to politicians such as Trump and state Governors.
It is these politicians that must balance the costs of keeping the country shut down vs starting to open things back up.
JMHO ... and it's damn hard for me to be humble! :smartass:

Rules are followed at each person's discretion.
Laws are to be followed.

Two intelligent posts in a row. Quarantine becomes you. I don't remember you not trolling for that long.

PJ Media (originally known as Pajamas Media) is a right-wing media subscription based site that that was founded in 2004. Its majority owner was technology entrepreneur, billionaire, and angel investor Aubrey Chernick. Salem Media Group acquired the company in March 2019.[5]

History
PJ Media was founded as Pajamas Media in 2004 by Charles Johnson, the blogger behind Little Green Footballs, and screenwriter and producer Roger L. Simon, after Johnson's contribution to the Killian documents controversy investigation in 2004, in which he helped lead to the retraction of a 60 Minutes story critical of President George W. Bush's service in the Air National Guard and Dan Rather's resignation from CBS News. Johnson and Simon set out to challenge the mainstream media with a network of citizen-journalists.

Businesses That Can Reopen May 18 Won't Know Until ... May 18
MASSACHUSETTS — Businesses that will be allowed to return in the first phase of the state's reopening plan likely won't know until the reopening advisory board rolls out industry-specific guidelines May 18, Gov. Charlie Baker said.

Reporters tried Tuesday afternoon to get Baker to expand on the four-phase reopening plan announced Monday. He didn't reveal much about the plan, which some have criticized as vague and lacking in detail, but said whatever nonessential businesses that will be allowed to reopen won't know until the statewide closure is lifted.

In other words, not even he knows.

The rules for what can open and under what restrictions make little sense.

Phase 1....business will be ones that "don't have a lot of face-to-face interaction with customers as part of their regular business."

President Trump tweets support for Elon Musk as Tesla reopens Calif. car factory amid pandemic

Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s dispute with county authorities over the reopening of the company’s California car factory was injected into President Donald Trump’s Twitterstream today.

  • Musk has been warring with Alameda County health officials over the requirements for the Fremont factory’s reopening after a shutdown mandated due to the coronavirus outbreak. On Monday, he said he’d be “on the line” at the factory and dared authorities to arrest him.
  • The Washington Post reports Musk’s defiance has become a “symbol of the reopening movement” in the tech industry, and Trump brought more attention to the case. “California should let Tesla & @elonmusk open the plant, NOW. It can be done Fast & Safely!’ he tweeted.

Gun stores are only allowed 4 customers per hour by appointment only.
Four gun shops were suing the Gov. to restore our 2nd Amendment Rights. So last week a judge ruled in the favor of the gun shops. A partial victory at best, but still a victory.
I have an appointment for July 21st at noon to buy some ammo.

It's all over by several sources. What happened to you? :raspberry-tounge:

Western States Pact asking federal government for $1 trillion

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday he and the leaders of Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Colorado are asking the federal government for assistance in the "$1 trillion range" to help the states deal with budget shortfalls from the coronavirus pandemic.

And don't tell me the internet is down in Georgia... I'd believe you if you said the lights went out in Georgia though. :happy-very:
