The contradiction is held up as gospel truth, your statement is categorized as false, and you're threatened with prison time if you don't help with what they're really after. Someone not used to such hardball tactics, feeling the full weight of the Federal government, having their savings and home go up in smoke, would most likely fold to stop the bleeding. According to FBI interviewers Flynn was happy to sit down with them, felt he had nothing to hide. I doubt he had representation there. This is your government in action when they want something. You still fail to grasp the point of a plea deal. The point is for the parties to agree on a punishment they both find acceptable. Then they agree on a crime to plea to that gets them that punishment. It doesn’t matter if Flynn actually lied to them or not. That is just pretense for a punishment and guilty plea in exchange for cooperation.
If his only crime was "lying" then it matters very much.

Do you put internal government malfeasance by Clinton on the same level as possible conspiracy with agents of Russia?
