A "free thinker" who "cares" about morality, to keep from being a "dogmatic prick", would have to be able to define their own morality as accepted morality to God.
That has never worked.
There is a "standard " of morality, and it wasn't set by you. And just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist and is valid.

Every example of people who interact with the Godhead in the bible, the instruction given to them is clear and immediate. The one who receives such information/instruction has no problem understanding what the instruction/answer is. There is no"let me think about it" for an answer.
Your claim that the Holy Spirit is actually inside you means said Deity gives you clear and precise answers, especially in matters that pertain to eternity.

I understand, I think it is important to personally discern where religious traditions, written or not written are of God or where they are just displaying the imperfections and limited understanding of God of the individual authors. NT or OT.
