You seem to be more in love with the Bible than with God.Of course I do.
SeeThe scriptures demand it, define it, and explain how it's possible.
The God of the universe is more important to me than written religious traditions. But, doesn't matter. What the scriptures teach is more important to me than you.
You'll never answer...I don’t bet.
Sorry to hear this.
I have. Heard it today preached at church services.
I think your lack of belief about this may be hindering this area of your spirit and God’s work in it.
Sorry.
Please explain how the spirit prompted you this morning.
Words, feelings, or something else?
You credit the spirit, so how was it done?
How do you discern between the prompting of the spirit and your conscience?
Whatever you think. It's all that matters. You seem to be more in love with the Bible than with God.

Sorry this little fabricated dialogue is unrepresentative of most of what I have communicated about God and the Bible in this thread or any other on the BC.Integrity: There was this man that lived 2000 or so years ago who showed us a better way to live.
Neophyte: Are you talking about Jesus? I recently read about him in the Bible. Amazing story!
Integrity: No, no, no!! You'll head down the wrong path reading that! Full of traditions of men that aren't what God intended. I know what God wants without reading the Bible. Listen to me, I talk to God, I'll get you to heaven.
Neophyte: I'm so glad I ran into you. I got a free Bible from a group passing them out. I had no idea they were steering me wrong!
Answer the questions...God matters above all.

I don’t think I will at this time.Answer the questions...
You have Deity personally and literally dwelling inside your physical body and you are undecided and are struggling to answer questions that you should know absolutely because of your direct "relationship" with Him?I don’t think I will at this time.
I am contemplating how to respond to this.
I have an idea but I am, as of now, undecided
This is probably best little description I’ve read from you.You seem to be more in love with the Bible than with God.

A "free thinker" who "cares" about morality, to keep from being a "dogmatic prick", would have to be able to define their own morality as accepted morality to God.This is probably best little description I’ve read from you.
That’s cause you ain’t a dogmatic prick. You are a free thinker that cares about morality.
Who ever said that because I have God, Deity as you put it, personally and literally dwelling inside my physical body that I should know anything absolutely because of my direct "relationship" with Him?You have Deity personally and literally dwelling inside your physical body and you are undecided and are struggling to answer questions that you should know absolutely because of your direct "relationship" with Him?
You claimed this. As does everyone who claims the Holy Spirit has taken up residence in their physical body. (this is literal indwelling defined)Who ever said that because I have God, Deity as you put it, personally and literally dwelling inside my physical body
Why is he "in" you, if not for direct revelation?that I should know anything absolutely because of my direct "relationship" with Him?
Who? I ask you.
Certainly not I.
Please explain how the spirit prompted you this morning.
Words, feelings, or something else?
You credit the spirit, so how was it done?

Where did I make the claim you claim I claimed? You claimed this.
I don’t know what others claim to claim. As does everyone who claims the Holy Spirit has taken up residence in their physical body. (this is literal indwelling defined)
This has already been hashed out in the thread. Review some of the resources presented by me and others and then go and disagree which is what you no doubt will do.Why is he "in" you, if not for direct revelation?
Before going on and on please, who told what you are claiming when you say “God says”?God says.
Is that so?Every example of Deity ( There is only 3. Holy Spirit, God, Jesus) in Scripture says. Every example of people who interact with the Godhead in the bible, the instruction given to them is clear and immediate.
Well it is different for me.The one who receives such information/instruction has no problem understanding what the instruction/answer is. There is no"let me think about it" for an answer.
Who says it means that, certainly not I.Your claim that the Holy Spirit is actually inside you means said Deity gives you clear and precise answers, especially in matters that pertain to eternity.
You are a challenging friend, my friend.Just answer the questions...
Glad to amuse you but IMO you are right about both of us.I find it amusing that @Integrity doesn't believe in some parts of the Bible, and neither does @BrownFlush. Both just picking and choosing.
NT, of course. I fall way short, however.Glad to amuse you but IMO you are right about both of us.
Do you believe everything in the Bible is worthy of emulating in your own walk with God while on this earth?
So you choose the NT of the Bible over the OT of the same Bible when you are picking what is worthy of emulating in the Bible in your own walk with God on this earth.NT, of course. I fall way short, however.
