The demise of the Democrats

You mean SOCIALISM? No way, no how. You reactionaries get all upset whenever there's someone who wants to reduce the power of the corporations whom you unwittingly serve. After 8 years of Bush, people were ready to make a change...any change. Yeah, maybe Obama was in the right place at the right time (following an absolute maroon), and that's probably how an African-American actually had a chance at winning.
"Reactionaries" , nice new twist, congratulations.
You want to reduce the power of corporations, who make a company grow and produce a profit for themselves and the country at large. On the other hand you want to increase the government's power, who never makes a profit and only survives do to taking money out of the public's pocket. Money that the public would not have if not for the corporations. Keep digging and that whole will be big enough to bury you in.

Obama has defanged the corporations? Dude, you are living in a pure dream state. Look not only at the record itself but the people he put in power and where they came from. Many honest to god pure liberals and progressives, some who even backed Obama now clearly admit he's sold out and many now admit they should have seen it coming as the evidence was even clear back in the campaign. I empathize with them and even feel for them as I had that rude awaking myself from the other political side about 1982' when I realized a certain cowboy who took the job of the new sheriff in town was not what he'd seemed either but in truth just a must better actor than I ever gave him credit for.

You've called Bush a maroon, the wrong son etc, but a good part of those 8 years were Dem. controlled.....even when Obama had the reins, he did ZIP when everything was Dem. controlled. Shoot the dumocrats couldn't even pass a budget when they were suppose to and they instead waited for someone else to come in and wipe their noses.

If he called Bush a maroon then I'd agree with that analysis, Cause he was, not that the black version now in the WH isn't a maroon either!:wink2:

Just proves color is skin deep but stupid goes all the way to the bone and never discriminates!

As for:
but a good part of those 8 years were Dem. controlled

Gee More, that's a baseless claim that someone like Klein would make. You're slipping bad girl!

Man With Anti-Obama Sign Attacked In San Francisco

The attack happened around 11:30 a.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Fell Street, where the victim, a 29-year-old Daly City man, had set up his table, said Capt. Denis O’Leary of the SFPD’s Park Station.
A man and woman approached the victim, tore the sign and shook the table, causing the political literature to fall to the ground.
The attackers also kicked the man in the hand, O’Leary said.
The SFPD captain said he did not know whether the victim was a supporter or opponent of Obama, but a witness who was in the area Monday said the victim was a supporter of Lyndon LaRouche, a left-wing political activist who opposes the president.

Brilliance in Simplicity!

A. Back off and let those men who want to marry men, marry men.

B. Allow those women who want to marry women, marry women.

C. Allow those folks who want to abort their babies, abort their babies.

D. In three generations, there will be no Democrats.

Winning !!

We are men. We don't care why we get laid. Just so long as we do.:happy-very:

Exactly. And there are plenty of Right Wing toads that fall into the same category. The porcine Limbaugh is married to some hot babe 20 years younger than he is. Think it's his sparkling personality and good looks that get the women? Maybe it's that big fat wallet. She probably has to put 2 sacks over his face to even think about getting intimate (yuk) with that walrus.

House votes to restrict unions

Measure would curb bargaining on health care

The 111-to-42 vote followed tougher measures to broadly eliminate collective bargaining rights for public employees in Ohio, Wisconsin, and other states. But unlike those efforts, the push in Massachusetts was led by Democrats who have traditionally stood with labor to oppose any reduction in workers’ rights.
“It’s pretty stunning,’’ saidRobert J. Haynes, president of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO. “These are the same Democrats that all these labor unions elected. The same Democrats who we contributed to in their campaigns. The same Democrats who tell us over and over again that they’re with us, that they believe in collective bargaining, that they believe in unions. . . . It’s a done deal for our relationship with the people inside that chamber.’’
