You're not too bright are you? Did the world start when you were born? There was a time not too long ago when people couldn't even imagine gay marriage or abortion. There weren't secret meetings to keep gays from marrying, it was just accepted that marriage was between a man and a woman. In every society since the dawn of time. Every race, every culture. They didn't begin or start the push.
The push began when the homosexuals "pushed" their agenda and lifestyle on a society that had before rejected it.
The Christians push back was a reaction to the gays shoving it up the governments arse.( No pun intended )

They lobbied hard against equality, but justice prevailed. Yay murica'!
They can call it whatever they like. If it isn't between a man and a woman, with the potential to create a family through that union, it isn't a marriage. All the legalese in the world won't change that.
