Off the top of my head, can only think of a few "slamdunk" reasons for termination. Stealing and physically fighting. And if you are a driver, showing up drunk. Numerous occasions of non drivers showing up toasted and sent home for "lack of production".
Yes they can, I've been in the office with drivers the company had dead to wrong, they admitted they did something wrong, they got a suspense. Yes they did get there jobs back.

My dad was a steward for years(not at UPS) and when I made senoirity he told me.... show up every day, don't steal, don't do drugs, and don't take a swing at anybody and you are al set. He spoke the truth.
