Guide for Uninsured Multiple Sclerosis Patients

The financial impact of multiple sclerosis cannot be overstated, whether you have medical insurance coverage or not, it becomes a large part of your struggle with the disease. Like it or not, MS and money are go hand in hand.

Obviously, the best scenario is employer provided group coverage. If you've got that, you're in decent shape. If you've fallen into the sink hole that is individual coverage, as I have, life gets rather complicated. If you have no coverage at all, your burdens are greatly increased. But before you let yourself fall into that category, make sure that you fully explore all your options for insurance.
Even after exhausting all avenues, keep on the lookout for changing laws and new programs. Health care reform is in the air.

(last sentence in bold : Not so , if Romney has his ways ! )
Who in the hell planted in your head that none of the GOP candidates want health reform???? They do!!! They just don't want the one from Buck!! I know I have personally mentioned this to you several times. What does it take to get through that thick skull of yours??

Ya know, AJ, in klein's defense, I am an alcoholic and a drug addict and people are free to speak of these diseases in any way they see fit. Hell, right now I am sure there are those claiming that addiction isn't even a disease. Fact of the matter is, their ignorance is simply that and nothing more. How does what klein say even matter? Health care is a very real topic in this election and while Obamacare may not be for you, there are those out there who stand to gain from it. What happens to those millions of people without insurance that Obamacare will insure? As I understand things, if you like your insurance, you are free to keep it, so what's the problem? You and Anne Romney are well taken care of. Why not the rest of the country? You are free to continue negative reping now.
Obama saying......."If you like your plan you can keep it" is a LIE !!!!

If Obamacare is ever allowed to be enacted, Ins. companies will bite the dust. How do you keep your ins. when the carrier goes under????????????????

The GOP have always admitted we need healthcare reform.......just not the monstrosity from O.

I think for starters.......only the non-insured would or should be addressed and not ram a plan down the throats of the population when it's not needed..

(Happy dance....and FYI...expect him to MENTION MS in the following week.)

And what would be that about ?
How he wants to keep those with MS that are uninsurable uninsured by oblishing Obamacare ?

once again. klein, you are ignorant.

I, me, AJ, I have MS.
Mitt's wife has MS.

I do not want Obama Care.
I have read all 971 pages of the healthcare reform act.
You are not a doctor nor are you an attorney.

I just provided you with my first ever negative rep.
You took my post and raped it.

Mitt will mention MS because AWARENESS is our first struggle.
Anne will mention MS because it is her everyday struggle.

MS AWARENESS week starts March 12, 2012.

I was happy because Mitt Romney will mention MS.
This is not about insurance.
THIS IS ABOUT AWARENESS.

I work very hard at bringing AWARENESS to MS.

I did not want or desire to bring HEALTHCARE up.

I wish MS was a cancer they could cut out of my nervous system.
I wish I could be provided a timeline of what to expect and when to expect it.
I can't.

I hate saying I am lucky because I hate the idea of pitting my MS against someone else's MS.
I have no idea how the cards are stacked and when I might stop walking.
I hate going to bed each night with the knowledge I may not walk in the morning.

All I know is that I need to use the time I have to make the world AWARE of MS and work like hell to make the lives of others better.

No, Klein had to toss the Health Reform Act (Obamacare) and indicate ..."How he wants to keep those with MS that are uninsurable uninsured by oblishing Obamacare ?[/QUOTE]

For the record, MS patients are insurable. It is called Social Security Disability.
For the record, MS patients have a very high rate of cure by suicide.
(Suicide is easier that dealing with the unknown.)

If the stocks on Wall Street are going up, up, up, please explain for them where the monstrosity part is?

GOP doesn't oppose statist healthcare, they just opposed that they weren't ones in the driver seat to impose it.

Fact still remains, Obamacare is the GOP plan put forth in response to Hillarycare.

Before you make such an absurd claim, you might dig into those corporations who benefits from contracts as a result of medicare and medicaid. You might also understand how this monopolized market as a result of medicare/medicaid uses the aggregate demand as a price floor and then the drug companies can come out with drugs upon which lobbyists position agency and program rules to guarantee a profit line while thus using the demand upon supply which pushes the below 65 market prices on the upward price curve. By not having this created market and the medical industry regimen protocols pushing the doctors towards prescribing these drugs, the ability of these drugs to command such prices would collapse and thus prices with it.

The insurance, big pharma and medical industry love these programs so don't for one minute fall for the ruse "Please don't throw me in the briar patch" routine. Like the insurance companies, please explain the nice stock price increases enjoyed by big pharma and big medical companies. Take a ride near your city/town's medical community and look at the new construction taking place on behalf of numerous privately owned medical corporations. Do you think for one minute that for starters this really signals a socialized medical system that's totally owned by the gov't? If you do, you must take the heads of these corporations and their stockholders for real fools. And if you killed the medicare program and dumped all these folks out on the street (even Ron Paul has no plans to do that but he does want to fully fund and then discuss going from there), do you honestly think that the medical providers and big pharma would keep prices as they are and looking at empty waiting rooms and bored pharmacists at the drug store? They'd have to drop prices and then what would happen to their nice fat profits?

Gee, whose really looking out for the poor after all? Maybe now you realize why the 1% really hate stateless, free market libertarianism far more than it does statist socialism because in truth they really are statist socialists themselves. Why not be socialist instead of free market when you are the top because the business model is a piece of cake!

Come on 804, stop letting those bastards use you. Open your mind!

Ok, let me guess you too think the magic of the free market will solve our problems especially health care. Im not such a utopian to think that a government can solve everything than a market, "free" or regulated, can solve everything. Your fundamentalist beliefs in this utopian "free" market is scary. Lets bring it back to the real world.

As long as you play the topdown game, no matter what you do, it will only get worse and worse and worse. What you are doing and advocating is the source of power that drives the 1% to even greater power. Regardless of which side in the current system wins, the outcome and control will stay the same. You only labor to build your prison stronger!

I agree with your take on the corrupt two party system of corporatocracy. I disagree with your fundamentalist belief in free markets.

I agree with your take on the corrupt two party system of corporatocracy. I disagree with your fundamentalist belief in free markets.

Have you gone back and actually read the ideal of free markets from the perspective of 19th century socialists who openly advocated Free Markets as a means to combat exploitation and heirarchical privilege or are you just locked in to the modern misuse of the term for the purpose of rhetoric by those who advocate state capitalism? What if real freed markets actually ended crony state capitalism as you know it? What if the current capitalism modern is held up by state privilege and without the state couldn't even exist to begin with? Corporations being creatures of the state and only come into existence by the authority of the state, in a stateless, free market model, there is no mechanism to even create a corporation with it's limited liability privileges.

But then I guess having the 1% heirarchy tell you what to think and define terms on their grounds just makes more sense. I guess you'd fight for and agree with the 1% who'd oppose this free market approach to healthcare on the grounds ie talking points it'd make someone rich and take advantage of the poor which the statist healthcare model never does?
