I thought it would be interesting to ask because every once in awhile there is a new study published on this subject.

no matter how old you are or how much money you make, people like to be treated with dignity and respect. that has to be worth something.

this company just does not realize what dividends that would produce.

Perhaps you're not forgoing a raise for nothing, you are forgoing a more driver friendly, might actually last long enough to call it a career, work environment for a raise that only lasts till you get fired.
In another post they are complaining about working Black Friday. That's the kind of giveaways endless raises buy you.
