that is an outcome. Bernie's answer is to tax the rich to pay for it. The rich can be sneaky elusive and find ways to avoid paying a 90 percent tax rate. In many cases as in Greece they basically boycotted capitalism and stopped investing to avoid paying the 90 percent tax rate.

the other problem with free college tuition is the fact I knew too many kids that seemed to linger in college forever before they figured out what they wanted to do. There would have to be strict guidelines to ensure this does not turn into a excess drain of tax dollars. the government has never demonstrated the ability to tightly manage something like this.

third its only a matter of time before the liberals will have us financing college for the illegal immigrants. open up the Bernie (Pandora) box and evil will surely come out..
