People have no idea how many of these idiots drive around watching tv on their phones. I see it every night. Majority of non UPS truck drivers are really bottom of the barrel morons. Not saying UPS also doesn’t have some.

I just had my LYTX TRAINING....

I feel so much better now that I know this is all about ME.... It's not there to help management harass anyone... It's there to help ME be a better driver.... The company has spent billions to put these in every tractor in the world to help ME...

It also gets managements eyes in the cab, as well as an insurance discount most likely. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the forward facing camera because there have been too many other clowns on the roads that have caused accidents and try to blame UPS.

As far as the inside camera, I can't believe it passed through the Union... unbelievable

Once people realize Lytx has real time monitoring and the inside camera is actually a camera, maybe the union will wake up. UPS will not admit to it because then they admit to the camera.

The inside camera is used for the Lytx's own internal AI processing....UPS and Lytx gave the message the "recording feature was disabled" that only means the unit itself won't store the data onto a storage media...says nothing about viewing. Should never be allowed in vehicle or at least be covered up.

I touched on this back on pages 616 to 619.

A friend who is former LEO who is going into sleepers was asking about the camera. We dove into this over a year ago and gathered some intel on what these things do...you can scroll back and look.

In the eyes of the law if you want to walk around with the concealed video camera especially in someone's home, off limits are bathrooms bedrooms and dressing rooms... places of privacy.

The question was is a sleeper birth an area of privacy?

I keep hearing the camera is disabled, but if it was, then we would not get the "distracted " alerts. The IR is ONLY for low light aid for the camera. Lytx stayed the "recording" was disabled....so that's means the camera is active, and should not be in the cab per contract.

Does this personally affect you.... and have you filed a grievance ?

Sorry this has you all in a tizzy, but it’s been my experience that our members give more information up freely on their social media than would ever be reported by a device that isn’t recording video in the cab of the truck but hey if this makes you feel better to believe more power to you. It’s not going anywhere
