Oh, I know that people have success at it. It's just entertaining to imagine that someone whose logic and reasoning playing in it. Why not try a casino or the sports book? You sound like some of the sports betting clowns who babble all sorts of metrics and don't fare any better than casual bettors.

The stock market is legalized gambling. It just looks better because you're gambling on companies and their metrics, so is more acceptable and less greedy looking compared to playing black jack at a casino where you're in it just for yourself.

The market is a casino. A share of stock today is only held for an average of 3 minutes and only 15% of all new capital the market raises actually makes it into the economy.

I was watching Mad Money when Cramer threw in the towel. For years Cramer worshiped the ground Fat Freddy walked on. It was embarrassing to see the way Cramer behaved. So when even Cramer packs it in you know it's bad.

I think what he's trying to tell you is that Fat Freddy is faced with having to dump even more money into the European and Asian air markets in the hope that someday there will be a pay back while at the same time undergo some type of company wide restructuring and that depends on first finding an effective way to do it. And given that the entire company is a cobbled together pile of acquisitions that won't be easy.

FedEx once was at the top of the game. Not anymore. They have insulted their customers for years with their late freight at least three days out of six. They always have some convenient excuse from the bad blizzard in Miami to kangaroos on the runways in Memphis. Fred’s totally forgotten anything to do with service, the one very thing Federal Express was built on. He’s also got incompetents in upper management that are just as guilty and have a cavalier attitude towards service as well.

Maybe people are finally getting fed-up with all this fleecing as they should be.

Poor analogy.

Stocks are instruments that have a value; they are purchased with the assumption that the value will increase. You can negotiate the purchase/sale price, you can keep it until you die, you can sell it seconds after you buy it. You own something. Actions can be taken to influence the value of your share.

All casino machine bets and table game bets (except for some blackjack bets) have a negative EV and are based on random events.

Not that it matters, it's bacha.

Yep. Just ask any customer who deals with Customer Service and all of the legendary lies to avoid paying for late freight.

In it's earlier form, Federal Express would do almost anything to get the customer their package, on time, intact, and without lame excuses from someone in a Third World Call Center reading from a script of lies about "Acts of God", "Mechanical/Technical" issues etc. The reality is that YOUR package is probably either lost, the low quality courier cannot find the address, or it's still sitting in Memphis waiting for the next day's aircraft because it missed the sort.

Even with the crap service, Fred still has the brass balls to tag on a hefty fuel surcharge to add insult to injury.

FedEx sucks. Federal Express was a quality company.
