Goodbye HOS!

I've been at ground a long time, never seen a pre trip, post trip inspection done by any driver. Lunch breaks and overtime non existent. Holiday Pay, maybe one contractor pays it same thing as vacation. It's a lousy place to work. If your a contractor and want to treat your drivers fairly you would go bankrupt.
Oh.. ur an honest chap. Welcome

Something like that. You always trying to make personal attacks says a lot more about your character than me. I don't defend Ground to the death but I call out ignorance when I see it, there is a large difference. You will think what you want and I could personally care less but I know the truth of my company that I own (notice I did not say Ground), I have drivers that have no computer skills, no college degrees, people that have never made over $30,000 a year in a secure career, making $10,000+ a year more than they ever have, who enjoy what they do and who they work for (me). You won't believe it and frankly I don't care cause I know what I am doing for other people. So until you prove what you are doing to create better lives for other people, stimulate the economy with more job creation, or prove that you contribute anything more than a piss poor attitude with your employer and a scape goat to blame for why your career sucks (Ground), You should probably keep your personal attacks out of it and stop trying to talk to me or any other Ground contractors on this forum about morals, ethics, or character.
Oh wait, I forgot that you are a realtor, that profession is all about honesty and integrity and didn't contribute largely to the crash of 2008 and a real estate investor, which helps out sooo many people when you scam people out of a house as cheaply as you can.
I think everybody hates them too. The World is filled with many unfair things and unfortanetly, Ur business represents that.. U couldnt afford a grown man and his family a middle class living. Without having a lifestyle change.

From the info I have got on this site either can Express. 10+ years and grossing $500 a week with crappy benefits. Your fight is with virtually American employment nowadays not just Ground. Since the crash you are looking at stagnant/declining wages, more work for less pay, technology over manpower, and socialism that pays ridiculous time frames of unemployment which has skewed the outlook on the actual unemployment rate. If you want to argue with me about not being able to prop up the middle class, you can have at it. I guarantee you this much I am doing a lot more to support it than you are. Especially with the type of job it is and the skill set this job requires.
Make the same argument and actually look into a company like CocaCola opposed to Ground and you will come up with the same argument. What would you like us to do about it more than what we are?

There nothing u can do Gt. u will always get dogged in this forum. We at express know we are at a low standard of pay compared to ups. But with the rite work load and hours a guy can scrape by. But what ground affords u to pay ur employees is just not rite to me. And sorry 10000 bucks a year doesn't stimulate nothing. I make 3 times that working pt..with benefits. Maybe one day you'll stand up to the machine and fight for ur employees. Like maybe more guy's including myself. Should fight harder to organize. Without us these companies do not have legs to stand on. Bernie Sanders 2016!

It will be fine

He said his drivers are making 10k more than they ever had. From the sounds of things here, pt at express is just a way to pay you less for holidays and vacation days. With operational needs you don't really have time to get another job. So you make 30k a year with benefits that equal around 6k a year and are giving crap to guys that pay their employees 45k a year. With as little as all the drivers make they, both Ground and Express, would be better off on the individual exchanges for health care, better subsidies. Express doesn't have that option because coverage is offered. Those benefits you're so proud of in reality are giving you less coverage than your money could get you on your own, but keep bragging about them. Keep trashing the Ground drivers. Your ignorance is so impressive.

If I were paying $10,000 a year to do this job and could keep employees I would be a wizard. I said $10,000 more a year than they ever made before with any other job.

The money isn't too bad sometimes. But it depends on the day. Sometimes I have $1200 weeks, then the next $400. Fedex passes the risk of low volume down to the contractor/driver. Also late freight, no problem! If the trailers 2 hours late, it doesn't matter to FedEx because we aren't getting paid by the hour to weight for it. When I get my manifest in the morning, that's how much I will make that day. No matter how many hours it takes/breakdowns/late freight/and don't forget the 07's we don't get paid for. It's a fluctuation salary that protects the company from paying anything extra.

Express hires Ground/HD drivers. Why not head on over?

You won't quote figures, so please tell us how much "$10,000+ more than they ever have" really is. If I came here from Nowhereistan and make $30,000 per year working 60 hours per week for you, I'm "rich" by Nowhereistan standards.

Like WestcoastHD said, this scam is perfect for immigrants who agree to be used and :censored2: upon. Same for Ground OTR operations. Pure scam and exploitation.

$34k, $37k, $46.5k, $52k.

Between 45 and 50 per week. Sometimes some of them work on Saturday for another ISP for extra money.

That's better money than an Express courier in most cases, especially the lower end of the scale. Are you sure those are honest numbers?
