In your opinion how does the “cited”, not quoted, scripture describe instruction for women to be led by men?

Our opinions aside, it says that with the clear and concise words in the verse.

I am agreeing with some of his contributions and participation in this thread regarding this topic.

If he is an enemy to Christianity, as IMO you imply, then I believe the call of Jesus’s teaching is to love him all the more.

You asked if we agreed with the SBC's decision to withdraw fellowship with a congregation that had a woman pastor and I gave you a relevant scripture that said why they took that action.

In my experience, and IMO derailment of a thread is a process that happens over the course of various posts and replies and cannot be caused by one post let alone the 1st reply to a thread. I believe derailment can begin in post #2 but certainly not be caused by it.

IMO no,

That Is why I believe the scripture you cited is so unloving and so out there that I believe in spirit that this is just representative of Paul’s unresolved personal struggles with doing and saying the right things and not doing and saying the wrong things, and his imperfections as they expose themselves in his personal interactions through letters and should be taken as just that. Probably a mistake on Paul’s part.
